Frank Obermüller

has been a research associate at ewi ER&S and doctoral candidate at EWI since August 2012. He specializes in various topics of electricity market modelling. In particular, his consulting work focuses on quantitative methods of optimization (e.g. mixed-integer problems, stochastic modelling and short-term forecasts). His research interests include short-term markets, security of supply under uncertainty and grid regulation.

Analysis of an EU-wide Carbon Price Support

The study projects the effects of a Carbon Price Support on the European electricity sector and its carbon dioxide emissions for the years 2017 – 2025 and identifies both winners and losers.
